:A lonely walk through Central Park:

Luke stepped out of his appartment and slammed the wooden door behind him. He quickly locked the door behind him and pulled his jacket tight across his chest. It was cold out, very over cast but wasnt raining. He jogged slowly down the steps and stepped out onto the busy sidewalk. He stood still for a second and took a look at the people busily walking around him, every one of them either talking to the person next to them or the one on the end of the phone.

He moved on, quickly walking across the road and through the gates of central park. It was always busy here, but still very quite and peaceful - too quite for his liking. Ever since he left Prison there has been no one for him, even his strength has been effected through loss of use. He sat on a cold bench and looked out over the slopes.

Tia had one of those bad days, today she turned invisible in school which would have been bad if it wasn't in a bathroom. She was lucky enough nobody saw, otherwise she'd be on today's news as freak of nature. She shuddered at the very thought of it, images of being dissected running through her head. This was a problem no teenage girl wanted to have, as cool as her powers were.

Walking home from school, currently in her cheerleader outfit, she passed Central Park's entrance and decided some nature was probably the best way to shake off the day. Walking in she took a deep breath, smelling the trees and grass. That always smelled good after a bad day. As she continued her way she walked by a bench with some guy sitting on it, not paying him any extra attention.

Luke was still sat on the bench, he hadnt moved. He looked up and saw the girl walking towards where he sat, wearing a cheerleading outfit. She almost looked as miserable and lonely as he felt. As she walked past him he gave a slight smile then looked back out over the trees. He dipped his head down to see a diary on the floor..open. He got up and walked over to it, and slowly bent down to pick it up. He read the top a little:

Thursday 19th April 2007

It's been one of those days again, cheerleading practice hadnt gone too well and the finals were approaching...

...And again! i managed to turn invisible in the girls toilets..

Luke stopped, looked up..then back down at the diary. "Cheerleading practice" he said aloud and noticed the girl walking away from him. Could she have a strength like him?.. Luke jogged quickly to catch up with the girl then tapped her on the shoulder.

"erm..excuse me..excuse me?" he said as he quickly shut the diary. "Is this yours? i think you dropped it"

Tia was in her own thoughts when someone tapped her on the shoulder, bringing her right back down to earth. It turned out to be the guy from the bench saying she had dropped her diary. Checking her bag she discovered it was open and cursed in her mind, blushing slightly. Hopefully the guy wasn't as jerk as to read what it said, or she was in trouble.

"Umm, thanks. I'm just distracted today." She replied, quickly taking the diary from him with the intention of burning the d**n thing later. About now she was so going anti diary, it was just too risky, what with her powers and all. Stuffing the diary back into her bag, this time making sure it wasn't open to drop more things out she looked back at the guy, not knowing if to just walk away as fast as possible or not.

Luke watched as the girl snatched the diary out of his hand. "Thats no problem..lucky I found it not someone else" He was implementing the fact that if anyone else would have found it she was reveal the fact that magic exists.

There was a pause. A rather uncormfortable one at that. Luke smiled and let out a quiet 'bye' and turned to walk off.

He stopped in his track and looked down at the floor. Turning his head slightly he looked at the girl. "Fancy going for a coffee?" If this girl did have a power like him he couldn't let the chance get away, he had never known anyone else.

Tia heard the implementing tone he used when he said it was lucky he found it. There was just something about that statement she so didn't like it bothered her. Did he read something in it before handing it over back to her? She sure hoped not, that the implement was just something she imagined.

To her relief he then said bye and began to walk off, herself doing just the same. Right at the moment she hated diaries, they could reveal so much about a person in the wrong hands. Heck, she didn't even know why she had one, it was just a habit from younger years. One that was going to be broken after this day.

And then, just as she thought she was in the clear, Tia heard the guy asking if she fancied going for a coffee. Slowly turning she ran every excuse possible in her head before speaking. "I don't know, I should actually be heading home." She said, hoping she wouldn't have to run off if he didn't get a hint.

Luke looked at her waiting for an answer. When she did answer he saw how scared she looked. He needed to let her know that she isnt alone, that he had certain powers too. "Come one..One coffee.. I'm buying" He couldn't just burst out and say that he had a power in the middle of central park, he'd look like a mental case. He'd need to go somewhere quiet. "well?"

The guy seemed determined to get her to go on a coffee with him, something that made her feel uncomfortable. But what was the worst that could happen? He'd stab or shoot her, she'd just regenerate. Still not liking the situation she shifted a little before giving up. "Fine. One coffee. But no funny business." She replied finally, though not really excited about the whole thing.
